What a difference a year makes!

Our Head of Events had a busy year in 2022. So much so, we’d love for you to take a glance at what she, along with the rest of the team, achieved last year!

Winter

We started the year off with a bang, working closely with Haven Holidays (for the third successive year) to produce two brand new show concepts, reinvented two existing shows and joined them at their training and rehearsals to implement all of this. Not only that, but behind the scenes we sorted the production, equipment and delivery (glamorous I know) for all 32 parks across the country.
Still managed a little research trip to a Secret Cinema event with my Creative Director – can you guess which one it was?

Spring

Entering warmer weather and exclusive delivery of some interesting projects such as the IPO Cracking Ideas UK tour, with the talented Clarissa Cleverclogs and Aardman’s very own world famous inventors, Wallace & Gromit.

Auditions and casting took place for the brand new Nickelodeon Weekenders at Parkdean Resorts, which were hugely successful and rehearsals began in May with a highly talented Team Nick UK.

After being postponed in 2021, the Big Bang Exhibition returned to the NEC where we designed and built yet another experience for the Intellectual Property Office, working closely with Aardamn Animations.

Not forgetting another “research” trip, this time to the Crystal Maze, and no, I didn’t do this one in heels!

Summer

Very grateful to have had such a busy summer, not only being able to bring many exciting and different projects and events to life, but being able to have a team of 36+ staff working for us all over the UK on multiple events throughout this period.

At ZSL Whipsnade Zoo, we had the Summer Ultimate Animal Challenge where 5 different tasks and challenges for guests were located throughout the zoo, including a giant inflatable.

A 6-week tour of 34 Haven Holiday Parks, featuring Shaun the Sheep’s Farmathlon activity, saw thousands of people take part in 7 fun themed games including the chance to meet the main Sheep himself – firm favourite of mine!

Team Nick travelled the country on a Nickelodeon Summer Tour, visiting multiple Parkdean Resorts over nearly 5 weeks. There was dancing, playing games, meeting the iconic SpongeBob SquarePants and friends and not forgetting being Slimed!

We were so busy with all of this, there wasn’t much time for anything else!

Autumn

There was no sign of slowing down either – October saw a collaboration between MGA Group and Unilever. MGA Group conceptualised and produced two event nights at Unilever’s leadership retreat. We created two celebratory nights incorporating the finale theme of ‘Dress to Impress’. A quality dining experience, with entertainment to match, brought a successful conference to a close.

I also had the opportunity to be a judge at Parkdean Resorts’ Talent National Final! What an honour and a spectacular weekend it was. So much talent!

We were back in the rehearsal studios too, this time working closely with a large family cruise brand creating an exclusive production brand new for 2023. Watch this space, as more announcements are to be made very, very soon…

A trip for all of us at Two Tails HQ to enjoy the fabulous light installation at Kew Gardens rounded off our 2022 beautifully – a festive mulled wine in hand.

See you all this year for some more exciting, new live events.

Natasha – Head of Events
xoxo
